allcove

The first of its kind in the United States, allcove is a network of standalone, integrated youth mental health centers that welcome young people to take a pause from their daily lives and access a range of professional support services and care. Designed with, by, and for youth, allcove centers serve the needs of 12-to-25 year olds experiencing mental, physical and emotional challenges, as well as those of their family and community. Centers are embedded within the communities they serve, and reflect the unique needs of local youth.

Designed in partnership with the Stanford Center for Youth Mental Health & Wellbeing and a Youth Advisory Group, a multidisciplinary team at IDEO.org designed the brand identity and core elements of the experience at an allcove center, anchored on ideas that guide interactions and service delivery to young people. The visual identity is grounded in taking a moment of pause, expressed through a logomark that represents a protective sanctuary, calming gradients that speak to the spectrum of emotions, and colorful youth portraiture.
